Erstmals seit 2019 konnten im Rahmen der 9. Internationalen Wiener Masters Meisterschaften<\/strong> wieder die \u00f6sterreichischen Meistertitel auf den langen Strecken geschwommen werden. W\u00e4hrend die kurzen Strecken (50m & 100m sowie die 400m Freistil) bei den Oktober Meisterschaften auch w\u00e4hrend der Pandemiejahre am Programm standen, fielen die langen Strecken (200m & 800m Freistil) leider zwei Jahre lang aus.<\/p>\n

Dementsprechend fokussierte man die Vorbereitung speziell auf die l\u00e4ngeren Distanzen. Wochen mit 3-4 Einheiten waren keine Seltenheit, aber es hat sich ausgezahlt.<\/p>\n

Der langersehnte Wettkampf wurde vom 1. – 3. April 2022 im Floridsdorferbad abgehalten. Mit 246 gemeldeten Schwimmer*innen von 70 Vereinen aus \u00d6sterreich, Deutschland, Ungarn, Tschechien, Slowenien, Schweiz, Serbien, Slowakei und der Ukraine veranstaltete der Wiener LSV einen \u00fcberregional sehr attraktiven Bewerb.<\/p>\n

Schlu\u00dfendlich konnte der Wiener Sport-Club<\/strong> sich nach dem Wettkampf im Medaillenspiegel \u00fcber den 12. Rang freuen. Konkret gab 4 x Gold, 4 x Silber und 2 x Bronze<\/strong> bei \u00f6sterreichischen Meisterschaften und 1x Silber und 1 x Bronze<\/strong> bei den Wiener Meisterschaften.<\/p>\n

Herrausragend einmal mehr Peter Polak<\/strong> bei seinen beiden Goldenen \u00fcber 800m und 200m Freistil. Aber auch Carmen Halper Moser<\/strong> (800m Freistil) und Wolfgang Raml<\/strong> (200m Brust) eroberten \u00f6st. Meisterw\u00fcrden. Kai Stania<\/strong> darf sich hingegen mit Silber auf den 200m Freistil \u00fcber seine erste Medaille bei \u00f6st. Meisterschaften freuen.<\/p>\n

Endlich konnte auch wieder eine WSC Staffel<\/strong> eine Medaille holen: die 4x100m Freistil-Staffel brachte 2 Sekunden vor den Vierten Bronze ins Ziel.<\/p>\n

Bei den alterklassen\u00fcbergreifend gewerteten Wiener Meisterschaften errangen Peter Polak<\/strong> (Silber \u2013 400m Freistil) und WSC Wasserballer Harald Hayek<\/strong> (Bronze \u2013 100m Freistil) weitere Medaillen gegen gro\u00dfe und starke Konkurrenz jeden Alters.<\/p>\n

Nun geht es wieder zur\u00fcck in die Trainingshalle, die LEN Masters EM 2022<\/strong> erwartet die WSC Schwimmer*innen von 28. August bis 4.September in Rom<\/strong>, mit mehr als 10,000 erwarteten Teilnehmer*innen !<\/p>\n
